Lord, You guard my heart
In the morning You are there
In the dark of night You consume the air around me
Ready to defend the innermost parts of my being
Give me the wisdom to hear Your gentle whispers
To follow all aspects of Your tender guidance
Speak through Your word and world around me
Help me to see the desires of Your heart
Open my closed ears to hear Your warnings
Clear my mind to process the bigger picture
Create in me a patient spirit, humble to Your time
Cause me to fully submit to Your good and perfect plan
You are the Lord of my life
I give it all to You
Help me to have the joy of Your knowledge, the peace of Your wisdom
Shed Your light upon each step in my day
